Admissions Requirements

The online Master of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology with a concentration in human performance is a competitive program from a top-10 public university (U.S. News & World Report). Students who succeed in our program are committed to challenging themselves and are ready to engage with instructors and classmates.

We accept applicants from around the world and from all walks of life. We consider the whole student, not just grades and test scores. Ideal candidates for the online M.S. in APK with a concentration in human performance should have:

  • A completed undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
  • An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher on all credits attempted after reaching 60 earned undergraduate semester credit hours (or 90 quarter credit hours)
  • A strong, demonstrated interest in studying and improving human performance

No GRE is required. Your undergraduate degree does not need to be in exercise science or a science-based major. Nonetheless, an underlying command of science and a commitment to learning about physiological and kinesiological processes are crucial to succeeding in this program.

These general standards apply to all students — domestic and international. There are some additional requirements that apply to international applicants.

If you have any questions about the application process or your materials, an academic coordinator will be happy to help you. You can email APK-online@hhp.ufl.edu or call (888) 581-1855.
